Adella Khan

Born in Palmerston, Ont., Adella Khan was raised between rural Ontario and the side of a hill in Trinidad. She is in her final year of study at Carleton University for journalism and women and gender studies.

Being immersed in different cultures has given Adella a deep-rooted interest in equality, music, and delicious food and a voracity for telling people’s stories.

She has covered arts, news, and politics and is interested in the way different media—print, video, sound—can all tell stories differently.

Mara Selanders

Mara Selanders

Mara Selanders came to Carleton and to journalism from the University of Saskatchewan and through a love of words, politics and social issues. Her most recent real-world news stint was as an intern at a radio station in Gulu, Uganda. Getting down to the politics of giving was a chance to frame a common practice in a variety of lights, an experience she loves any opportunity to do. Thanks to a great team!
