Child Haven International presents an Evening Fest hosted by Max Keeping at 6 p.m. in the Government Conference Centre, 2 Colonel By Dr. The evening features a buffet, silent auction, bazaar and a cultural dance. Harmonia Choir of Ottawa, presents its annual Remembrance Day concert at 8 p.m. at St. Barnabas Anglican Church, corner of Kent and James streets. The choir will be joined by the Maple Leaf Brass as well as the Cross Town Youth Chorus. The concert will feature a mixture of of familiar hymns as well as South African freedom songs and folk songs in English, Hebrew and Finnish. Tickets are $15, $10 for students and seniors (free to children and youth), and will be available at the door.

The Ottawa Women’s Canadian Club luncheon will be held at 12:30 p.m. in the Adam Room of the Fairmont Laurier on Wellington Street at MacKenzie Avenue.Dr. Peggy Cunningham, associate professor of marketing at Queen’s University in Kingston, will speak on marketing ethics. Salute to Switzerland is a culinary and fund-raising evening to be held Nov. 17 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Richelieu Centre, 300 Peres Blanc Ave. in Vanier. The evening will feature Swiss culinary treats and entertainment, a cash bar and a silent auction. Admission is $20. Tickets will be sold in advance only.
