Briefs: CCCA president resigns

David Blaine, the president of the Centretown Citizens Community Association, recently stepped down from office, citing family commitments.

“I was having difficulties balancing family life and work commitments. I treat my work seriously but my duties were too time-consuming,” Blaine said.

Three other members of the board of directors also resigned: Susan Kerr, the corporate secretary; Suzanne Harding, the membership secretary; and Alan Spencer, the treasurer. The only remaining member is Andrew Atkins, the vice-president.
