Four people have been taken to hospital after being exposed to chemicals from a suspected spill this afternoon, reported CFRA Ottawa.
The Plant Recreation Centre on 930 Somerset St. has been evacuated and temporarily closed down, according to the City of Ottawa.
The facility is expected to re-open Wednesday morning, however the pool will remain closed until further notice, according to reports from CFRA.
An eyewitness says that there were multiple fire trucks, police cars, ambulances, first responders, and a hazardous materials team at the scene.
