Gordon Walker has witnessed Ottawa’s Chinatown change and grow for 26 years, and during that time he fell in love with the area. That’s why he says he devotes his time to the Somerset Street Chinatown Business Improvement Area as Vice-Chair.

When Jeremy Dias was taunted, bullied, and beaten up for being gay, he decided to fight back.  But instead of using fists like his harassers, he built Jer’s Vision, a youth-led organization to combat discrimination and promote diversity.

With his sleek appearance and cool demeanor, Gerry LePage emits an intimidating air of power. Sporting a pin stripe suit, with his hair combed back, LePage is confident and comfortable with his voice.

It’s hard to imagine Ottawa’s Little Italy without hot spot Pub Italia on Preston Street.  In the past 15 years the pub has grown while helping to bring the community together.
