Fady Assaad’s hair shop is ushering in a new wave of clients: ones who say they care about hair equality. The Laurier Avenue shop is the first one in Ottawa to eliminate gender in its pricing policy. Assaad says he made the change on Sept. 1 because it was the right thing to do. “It wasn’t a business decision,” says Assaad, “it was a logical one.”
