The 31-year-old is originally from The Bahamas. He moved to Prince Edward Island in 2013, where he lived for five years before relocating to Ottawa. “When I arrived in Ottawa I got lost on Bank Street, but in being lost I saw all the restaurants and stores along the strip and said to myself that one day I want to explore and try it all. Thus, reviews by revello was born,” he said.
What is he known for in Ottawa?
Williamson is known for his video series, from “Table for Two” to “Stacks on Stacks,” where he explores the best spots to eat for certain cuisines or tries a new meal from a restaurant, sometimes accompanied by guests, all the while working to cultivate a positive atmosphere.
“I’m not the guy pretending I’m at a Michelin tasting. I’m the guy sitting in the car, laughing about how good that first bite is or telling you why that one dish hit different after a long day,” Williamson said. “My approach mixes humour, honesty and storytelling. It’s not just about the food, it’s about the feeling that comes with it.”
What do people say about him?
Williamson has become a notable figure in Ottawa’s food scene, “blending authenticity, humour, and local flavour,” said Mirelle Lupovici, who supports him through collaborations on his social media. Recently, Feedspot ranked him among the top 30 Ottawa food influencers.
“Posting Ottawa food reviews online isn’t just a creative side hustle. It’s also an avenue for him to connect with like-minded people and highlight Ottawa’s diversifying food scene,” said a writer with Apartment 613.
