Canada is the world’s leading supplier of maple syrup.

But farmers like Ray Bonenberg, who has a sugar bush near Pembroke, are starting to notice that the changing climate is affecting their industry.

According to Dr. Lenore Newman, a food security researcher, these changes are kind of like a canary in the coal mine for climate change.
