Across Canada, and here in Ottawa, rent is rising faster than many households can keep up, and with home ownership increasingly out of reach, more people are being pushed into an already strained rental market. 

So, who’s stepping in to address the crisis? Reporters Isabelle Alexandre and Jacob Carabetta examine the responses from governments and community organizations on the ground.
