The Big Bounce Canada, billed as the biggest touring inflatable event in the world, brought loads of fun to families in Ottawa over the August long weekend.

The event was held on the grounds of the RA Centre on Riverside Drive from Friday to Sunday, Aug. 1-3. A three-hour pass for children 15 and under was $49.

“We have giant obstacle courses. We have slides. We have ball pits,” said Big Bounce touring manager Noa Visnich ahead of the weekend Ottawa stop. “We have a sports arena. We have food trucks. We have snow cones. So much to do.”

The touring event boasts seven different inflatable attractions, including “the world’s biggest bouncy castle” spanning 24,000 square feet.

“The world’s largest bounce house is the one of a kind . . . with DJs, confetti, bubbles, ball pits, obstacle courses and so much more just in the one,” said Visnich.

Visnich said the Big Bounce Canada is a great way to bring communities together for some outdoor fun.

“We’re always just so involved in our screens and being indoors,”  said Visnich. “This is an outdoor event . . . You get your whole family out of the house, exercising, moving, getting out in the sun, and just enjoying something all together.”

The touring inflatable theme park was created by XL Events Lab, a company based in Glasgow, Scotland and Orlando, Florida. “We take ideas, transform them into viable and engaging ticketed events and then produce those events, at scale, in cities and venues across various international markets,” the company says at its website.

The Big Bounce attraction is travelling all around the U.S. and Canada this summer.

“We are always moving,” says Visnich. “After Ottawa, we are going to be in Calgary (Aug. 9-10 and Aug. 15-17) and then Vancouver (Aug. 22-31).”

Big Bounce Canada had previously stopped in Quebec City for a lengthy run from July 19 to 27.
