According to a recent report by Rentals.ca and Urbanation, the average monthly rent for a one-bedroom apartment in Ottawa is now more than $2,000.
The 25th Hour’s Laina Szabo set out to learn what these hikes mean for people who rent, and what can be done to make rent more affordable for more people.
