In a particularly eventful production day for Midweek, the reporting team rounded up their pitches right away and set off to chase their stories.

Show producer David Cummings organized the show line-up while the rest of the production team got to work editing and gathering music.

With hosts Haven Caster and Nicole Dainty, the show covered topics ranging from a charity Fire Truck pull for Epilepsy Ottawa, the annual Panda game, and popular internet trends’ direct link to misinformation.

Affordable groceries is something all Canadians are on the hunt for. Olivia Grandy spoke with Luke Tasse, manager of Kaladar Market, a local-run food market trying to combat the rise in food-costs for Ottawans.

The reporting team rejoined the production room with time to spare and immediately jumped into writing additional stories and building scripts.

Everyone gathered to listen to the live show and took notes on their favourite stories. Overall, the show was productive and informative. See you next week!
