Midweek returned to air this Wednesday bringing listeners an array of stories from protests to pirate theatre.
Right away, the team rounded up in a morning pitch meeting and partnered up to tackle their pitch ideas and chase stories affecting the Ottawa community.
Reporters persisted in the rainy weather to collect interviews on the safety of Ottawa’s public transit, and chased down the scoop on the National Culinary Convention.
The live show featured a breaking story about a protest held in downtown Ottawa by reporters Caelan Foye and David Cummings. Stories also featured the opening of new local restaurant, Dark Fork, with an all visually-impaired waitstaff.
The hosts this week, Evan Bryant and Riley Murphy did a great job with producer Olivia Grandy at the helm.
The show went smoothly with a little time-crunch coming up to air time, but the team pushed through.
Overall, the production and reporting teams were proud of their first live show for this fall term and are looking forward to next week.
