Jeannie Hunter has been teaching music for over 30 years. The Ottawa teacher sees music as a way for people to express themselves.
Hunter provides a space in her classroom that is safe and welcoming for her students to explore their creativity.
Her passion, love and dedication for her students awarded her the MusiCounts Teacher of the Year award at the 2025 Juno Awards in March.
