Living in a pandemic has meant the absence of touch and connection for many. But what about using sound as a way to reach out? Erin Gee does just that. The Montreal-based sound artist, is known for her work in Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response — better known as ASMR.
During the pandemic, Gee has been composing sounds and music to connect with those in isolation. From her tiny home office, Gee has made a collection of whispers, relaxing sounds, and tingling sensations that can make literally the hair on the back of your neck stand up. She explains how she does it to 25th Hour.
