Ottawa’s street war will soon move into council chambers.

Ottawa city council has disregarded the wishes of small business owners on Preston Street by re-appointing Coun. Elisabeth Arnold to sit on the Preston Street Business Improvement Association board, says Peter Harris, executive director of the Preston Street BIA.

Centretown residents may be solicited by electricity salespeople asking them to change their accounts. Account changeovers to newly licenced energy retailers will take effect when the market is deregulated this fall.
