Heritage Minister Mélanie Joly has announced the line up of the Canada 150 New Year’s Eve celebration happening this year on Parliament Hill. The concert will mark the official commencement of Canada 150, a nation-wide celebration of 150 years since Canada’s confederation.
The City of Ottawa is celebrating the Redblacks’ historic victory with a parade at noon today, Nov. 29. The parade will begin at Bank Street and Pretoria Avenue and end at Lansdowne Park for a Redblacks rally. Fans are encouraged to walk along the sidewalks to Lansdowne.
The Redblacks have bounced back from last year's championship loss to win the 2016 Grey Cup, beating Calgary 39-33 in overtime. It's the city's first Grey Cup win in 40 years.
