We wanted to take a moment to thank your reporter, Connie Smart, for the report she did at the Lookout Bar cast party on March 13 for the cancellation of the NAC event.
Smart and the rest of the crew were very professional in the way they reported on the event and even helped us to gather our thoughts about what was going on during a difficult time.
Centretown News covered a story that even the “main” gay newspaper in Ottawa, Capital Xtra, didn’t think was newsworthy enough other than a line or two, yet this event had such a tremendous impact on the GLBT community.
Another of their competitors (To Be) did lend more support and coverage than Xtra did.
While we have lost our desire and interest in reaching out to obtain a copy of the latest Capital Xtra, we will definitely go out of our way to pick a copy of the latest Centretown News.
