It wasn’t by choice that The Tara Players, an Irish theatre group, moved out of its home in St. Patrick’s Hall on Gloucester Street last year. It was out of necessity.
The fans may not be screaming and tearing down his front door, but then again, David MacDonald doesn’t play regular pop or rock ‘n roll.
Coloured veils, finger cymbals and chain-link belts rarely find their way into a gym bag. But that may change with more Ottawa women choosing an alternative path and looking to belly dancing to satisfy their aerobic fix and boost their self-image.
There is little doubt, to most who have been here, that Ottawa is a great place to visit.
