The publisher of Ottawa's only gay newspaper, Capital Xtra, has sent a message to Centretown's homosexual community: “You're under attack.”

Centretown resident Julie Wenzel is hoping that a city bylaw set for debate by council in early May will eliminate the graffiti on some of the garage doors and mailboxes in her neighbourhood.

Local residents strongly oppose a city plan to prevent basement flooding along Preston Street by turning Plouffe Park into a “cement bathtub.”
