The long-awaited re-opening of Bank Street has been delayed to around the end of November.
The original re-opening was set for between the end of October and mid-November, but Luke Foley, the city's project manager for Bank Street Reconstruction, says more time is needed because of the recent arson incident on the corner of Somerset and Bank streets, co-ordination issues involving access to sidewalks with the Mandarin building on Bank Street and Laurier Avenue and interruptions caused by rainy weather in the summer.
Foley says that by the last week of November "the finishing touches should be put in place probably with bike rakes and other odds and ends like that."
