Most downtown churches wheelchair-friendly
Wheelchair accessibility is becoming a standard feature for church buildings in Centretown. A telephone survey conducted of 23 churches in the area by Centretown News found that 18 of the respondent 21 had wheelchair accessibility. Two could not be reached.
More money needed if city is to become more accessible
Ruth Munro and her husband are residents at Lord Lansdowne, a retirement home at Holmwood Avenue and Bank Street. Munro is unable to walk because of osteoporosis, arthritis and a broken hip.

Bishop’s decision about same-sex blessing delayed
Ottawa Anglicans will have to wait a few more weeks for the bishop’s decision to bless same-sex couples. At this year’s synod - an annual Anglican diocesan meeting - Bishop John Chapman announced he would make his decision after consulting the House of Bishops in Canada.
