A favourite local community theatre, the Mayfair, fears they will see their curtain drawn for the last time with the development of a massive cineplex at Lansdowne.
Committee approves user fees for green bins
The city planning and environment committee passed a budget that will see Ottawa’s new green bin program paid for through a user fee rather than the general tax base on Tuesday. This means homeowners using the program will have to pay $68 per year if the budget is passed at council next Monday.
