Ottawa police are still investigating two cases of sexual assault that took place in Centretown between July 28 and Aug. 2.
However, Cst. Kathy Larouche said that no new information has been prepared for release.
The first incident occurred at 8:18 p.m. on Gladstone Avenue when a 26-year-old woman leaning into her passenger-door window was inappropriately grabbed from behind.When the woman turned around and screamed the man fled down Gladstone.
The second assault occurred at 12:40 p.m. when a 24-year-old woman was grabbed from behind when she was walking on Gilmour Street towards Elgin Street. Again, the man fled the scene immediately after the assault.
In both incidents the suspect is described as a Middle Eastern male, or a male of East Indian descent. He is 5’5” to 5’8” tall (165 cm to 173 cm) with a medium build.
On July 28, the suspect was wearing loose fitting jeans, a black polo style shirt with a number on the sleeve and silver wire-style sunglasses. On August 2, the suspect was wearing a red or maroon long sleeve shirt, khaki coloured shorts and thick rimmed glasses.
