Flora Street, is lined with houses that have small front lawns. Nestled between Bank and Bronson close to the Queenway, Flora was once a part of Stewarton, a small community built in the late 1800s and named for merchant William Stewart.
Florence Street is so quiet that you can hear your footsteps softly patting against the sidewalk.

Empress Avenue, even though it is entirely in Chinatown, is named for an English, not a Chinese, empress.
Twenty-seven Ottawa zombies contributed to the fourth annual attempt at breaking the world record for the largest worldwide simultaneous dance to Michael Jackson's Thriller. Though they didn't break last year's record, roughly 10,000 dancers turned out for this year's attempt.
