A young skater takes advantage of free skating lessons on the canal on Saturday
The opening of Ottawa's 33rd Winterlude kicked off on Friday, Feb 4 with good weather all weekend. Crowds of all ages skated the Rideau Canal enjoying Beaver tails and hot chocolate. Some up-coming activities include ice sculpture competitions, Aboriginal story telling and the Beaver Cup pond hockey championship. The event runs until Feb 21.
