Located on Elm Street, Chaudiere Park is hidden gem that borders both Little Italy and Chinatown. Surrounded by a number of old-fashioned red-brick homes, this park offers the perfect amount of privacy that a family needs to enjoy a beautiful afternoon.
To keep the youngsters busy, the park offers a modestly sized play structure surrounded by sand as well as a wading pool that is monitored by lifeguards throughout the summer.
In addition, the park also has a full-sized basketball court, complete with two retro-style wooden backboards and mesh netting. There’s also a sheltered area equipped with benches, making the perfect setting for lunch.
Monitored by the community, Chaudiere Park is pesticide free, offering a safe environment for young children. A pet owner, however, would have to find another spot because animals aren’t allowed within the confines of the park.
Chaudiere, French for “boiler,” Park has yet to make its historical mark but has come to be a staple within a community that has many families with small children.
There is no doubt that as the years pass, this park will have offered many memories to the children and people that frequent it.
Access to the park is prohibited between the hours of 11 p.m. and 5 a.m.
