An Ottawa woman is in hospital with traumatic head injuries after being hit by an SUV on O’Connor Street Monday morning, Ottawa police said.

Winterlude 2012: Opening weekend

All weekend long, kids of all ages enjoyed the Snowflake Kingdom at Jacques-Cartier Park and families laced up their skates at the recently re-opened Rideau Canal Skateway. This year's War of 1812 themed festivities will run until Feb. 20.
Proposed smoking ban will impact Pride Week, organizers say
