Exercise is not the only benefit of playing sports. Sports help enhance skills, build relationships and most importantly, a sense of community. Through soccer, Ottawa Street Soccer does just that. They provide the homeless with a place to have fun and meet new people while raising awareness. The organization held a small fundraiser and a small tournament with the Ottawa Police Services on Sunday. Centretown News spoke with Ottawa Street Soccer founder Tatiana Rother, player Dennis Comb, and Ottawa Police Services' John Medeiros to learn more about street soccer in Ottawa.
