Ottawa Police have charged a suspect in connection with a robbery on Gladstone Avenue earlier this month.
Steven Domingue, 47, will appear in court today. He is charged with single counts of robbery, breach of undertaking and breach of probation, says Sgt. Michael Haarbosch.
The robbery took place on Jan. 10 at a pharmacy on the 700 block of Gladstone Avenue. The suspect demanded cash from an employee and threatened to have a weapon, but no weapon was seen. No injuries were reported.
Police say assistance from the public was helpful in identifying the suspect.
“We put a media release out for the robbery and that same day we were already getting some valuable tips coming in, so in that respect the public was very valuable,” says Haarbosch.
Police ask anyone with information on any other crime to call the Robbery Unit at 613-236-1222, ext. 5116 or Crime Stoppers at 613-233-TIPS (8477).
