Ottawa Health has issued a frostbite advisory for the rest of the weekend and into Monday.
Temperatures in the city will drop to a low of -23 C Saturday evening, with similar temperatures expected to last into next week. Blowing snow and flurries will taper off in the evening, according to Environment Canada.
Ottawa Health recommends keeping your feet warm and dry and using a scarf to cover your chin, lips and cheeks to help prevent frostbite. More treatment and prevention tips are available on the City of Ottawa website.
