Foreign Affairs Minister John Baird announced Monday morning that Mark Kristmanson will be the new CEO of the National Capital Commission.
Kristmanson has worked for the NCC since 2004, says Emily Keogh, communications officer for the NCC. He has been involved in major projects such as the Canada Day celebrations, Winterlude festival and Parliament Hill's sound and light show.
Kristmanson has also worked for the Cultural Capitals of Canada program and was the founding executive director of the New Brunswick Arts Board, according to an NCC press release.
Kristmanson replaces interim CEO Jean-François Trépanier. Trépanier stepped in following Marie Lemay’s resignation in August 2012.
