Preston Street will be closed at Albert Street starting today to allow sewer and road construction work.
The closures are expected to end by the first week of November.
Albert Street will remain open to east-west traffic, but no turns will be allowed onto Preston Street from Albert Street, the City of Ottawa said in a press release.
Businesses will remain open as usual and motorists and cyclists are advised to use Somerset, Booth or Albert streets instead.
Pedestrian access through the intersection will be maintained.
