There will be lane reductions and ramp closures on the Queensway this weekend, according to a public service announcement from the City of Ottawa.
The eastbound Queensway off-ramp to Nicholas Street will be closed tonight from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m.
Off-peak lane reductions will also be in effect in both directions between Nicholas Street and the Highway 417/174 split and in the eastbound direction between Lyon Street and Elgin Street during the week of Nov. 17.
Residents travelling downtown from the west end are advised to take the Metcalfe Street exit to avoid the closures.
Signs will be in place to label traffic and road changes.
The construction is part of the Highway 417 expansion project that will add an additional lane in each direction between Nicholas Street and the split.
