Sally Ann uses sports to socialize homeless men

On Wednesday afternoons, volunteers, with soccer balls and footballs in hand, head to the Salvation Army Booth Centre, where they organize and play pickup sports with homeless men, recovering addicts, and members of the downtown neighbourhood.

Local deaf darts team finds its mark

The Canadian Deaf Dart Championships, which took place at the Ottawa Travelodge from Nov. 5to 8, was largely a chance for the deaf sporting community to socialize, says Ryan Hardy, a member of the Ottawa deaf darts team.
