Ottawa Public Health announced a frostbite advisory from Monday night until Friday, Jan. 23.
Temperatures are expected to drop to -23 C, with a wind chill of -29 C tonight, according to Environment Canada.
Tomorrow’s temperature is expected to hit a high of -12 C, but with the wind chill it will feel like -33 C.
The city’s website advises that it is possible for exposed skin to freeze in as little as 10 minutes in these conditions.
