Centretown residents may soon be getting some much-needed relief thanks to a $5,000 grant from the Community Foundation of Ottawa to the GottaGo! group, which is campaigning to secure a clean, safe, accessible and open public toilet for Dundonald Park along Somerset Street. 

The Ottawa Police Service’s three-day traffic blitz in early January cracked down on traffic violations in school zones across the city, but unsafe driving is an ongoing issue for busy Centretown-area schools.

Ottawa students are braving the cold this winter as part of a program designed to keep them active. 

Starting this year, changes to the Ontario building code will lead to an increase in construction costs but also improvements to accessibility as new and renovated buildings become more wheelchair-friendly.
