Drivers will have to avoid leaving their car parked along the streets overnight after the City of Ottawa announced parking restrictions for Thursday from 1 a.m. to 7 a.m. across the city.
The restrictions will remain in effect until the city announces otherwise, according to the news release.
Due to weather conditions “vehicles are banned from parking on any city street so that crews can clear them easily and effectively,” said the release. Tickets will be issued for vehicles left parked on the street during the overnight ban. On-street parking permit holders are exempt from this restriction.
