As the weather begins to cool, there can be no doubt summer has ended. For one of Ottawa’s newest recreational facilities, this summer has been a huge success.
Home to pro hockey, soccer and once again to pro football, Ottawa is also home to a growing sports fan base.
As the final buzzer sounded at TD Place on Sept. 27, the Ottawa 67’s lost 4-0 to the Barrie Colts in a disappointing home opener to the 2015-16 Ontario Hockey League season.
After a summer of uncertainty over the fate of the Gladstone Theatre, its sale is due to conclude by Oct. 31 but it will remain a cultural centre for at least another three years.
