City council has given the rubber stamp to a six month limit on ghost bikes and other roadside memorials in Ottawa. The decision was finalized during Thursday morning’s city council meeting. Somerset Coun. Catherine McKenney was the lone councillor to oppose the motion that passed without debate.

Donation aims to improve trauma-informed services
The Somerset West Community Health Centre in Chinatown has received $10,000 from two pharmaceutical companies to help improve staff’s ability to recognize and respond more effectively to problems triggered by underlying traumatic causes.
