Lane closures are scheduled this weekend at the intersection of Queen and O’Connor Streets.
The City of Ottawa issued an advisory Wednesday warning drivers to avoid the area if possible.
Closures at the intersection will start 7 p.m. Friday and continue through to Sunday evening to allow for preparations for the new O-Train station to be located near Parliament Hill.
While full access will remain open for pedestrians, cars and cyclists will only be able to make a right turn from the eastbound lane on Queen Street into the southbound lane on O’Connor Street. All other traffic turns will be closed. A detour will be in place for motorists.
OC Transpo routes that run along Queen Street will be detoured. For more information on bus detours, see the OC Transpo website.
