A fundraiser will be held on Dec. 3 at McNabb Park Community Centre, 170 Percy St., from 5 p.m. to 12 a.m. All money raised will go to a Centertown family whose 14 year-old son Michael has leukemia. He has had a bone marrow transplant in Montreal and has been in the hospital for the past two months. Events include a spaghetti supper from 5 to 7 p.m. and a dance from 7 p.m. to 12 a.m. and a silent auction from 5 to 10 p.m. There will be a limited amount of tickets for the dinner. Canadian Guide Dogs for The Blind requires foster families to host a puppy-in-training for up to an 18-month period.
