The city presented its plan for the Bronson Avenue reconstruction last night at a public open house.
The plan will widen the road by approximately 0.6 metres and sidewalks will be widened to two metres.
Landscapers will remove at least nine trees and 148 new small- to medium- sized trees will be planted along the road.
Many residents voiced their concerns over the safety of Bronson Avenue and that the plan didn’t focus on pedestrians.
Somerset Coun. Diane Holmes advised those opposed to the plan to contact Mayor Jim Watson with their comments.
Residents have until Dec. 1 to send their comments to the city.
