The Rideau Canal Skateway will officially open tomorrow morning at 7 a.m., according to a press release from the NCC.
An initial 2.2 km of the canal will be open to the public for skating from the Bank Street Bridge to the Pretoria Bridge.
The official opening ceremony will begin at 10:30 a.m. with the raising of the green flag, followed by a short speech.
The NCC and Ottawa Public Health encourage people to have a safe skating experience by wearing helmets, elbow and knee guards and other protection gear.
