The government building at 90 Elgin St. will be named the James Michael Flaherty Building, after the former Conservative finance minister.
Prime Minister Stephen Harper announced on Oct. 15 that the 17-storey building is a tribute to Flaherty, who died in April.
The building, which was completed in July, is already home to the Department of Finance and Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat employees are expected to move in by May 2015.
