City restores website after hacking

The city’s official website is once again operational after being hacked nearly 24 hours ago.

However, some Internet service providers might still be delayed in accessing the site and people seeking access to city services should still call 311, said city spokesperson Marielle Picher in an email.

“We are confident that no corporate or resident information was compromised as a result of the breach,” said Picher. “Issues were related to a third party service provider and have since been resolved.”

The city suspended its website Friday evening after it was hacked, blocking outside attempts to use the service.

Police say they have no updates at this time and the investigation into the matter is ongoing.
