Photo Gallery: Chili cook-off a success, despite chilly weather
Head chef Dave Gower of Lieutenant's Pump won the first ever Sens Mile Charity Chili Cook-Off Sunday Jan 16. Recipes by 10 competing restaurants were tasted and judged by local celebrities including Mayor Jim Watson, Fire Chief John deHooge, Deputy Police Chief Charles Bordeleau and Councillor Diane Holmes. All proceeds from the day's events were put toward the Jack Purcell Park Redevelopment Project, which aims to build the first accesible play area for children of all abilities and ages in downtown Ottawa.
Bail granted for two charged in Booth Street shooting
Two people charged in the fatal shooting on Booth Street last year were granted bail Wednesday.
