Street furniture set to be replaced
Brand new bus shelters, garbage cans and benches will soon be installed on downtown Ottawa streets to replace the current fixtures, described at a recent public consultation as, “ugly and useless.”

Archives go ahead without new library
Despite a push last year by Ottawa Public Library Board members and councillors to build the new main library and the city’s new central archives in one centralized location, the two will be constructed apart — with work to begin this month on the archives building in Nepean’s Centrepointe area.
Parole office may leave area
The Ottawa District Parole Office may not remain in Centretown when it’s scheduled to be relocated next September, says a former chair of the parole office’s citizens’ advisory committee.
