The city’s official website is once again operational after being hacked nearly 24 hours ago.
The City of Ottawa has suspended its official website, replacing the dancing banana and largely black screen with a blue one that says “This Account Has Been Suspended” after it was hacked Friday evening.
Ottawa Police announced it spent around $250,000 on overtime pay during the day of the downtown shooting that killed Canadian Forces reservist Cpl. Nathan Cirillo and wounded a security officer on Parliament Hill, and during the weeks of increased security measures afterwards, reported CFRA.
Drivers traveling through the city core this Saturday might find themselves encountering a parade as Santa Claus comes to town.
