One of the main concerns that people have voiced to me since I became a community police officer has been around the issue of safety and security in the Centretown area. Why certain people felt unsafe while walking the streets of Centretown.

The Plant Pool Recreation Association is holding a fundraising dessert party at St. Luke’s Anglican Church, 760 Somerset St. West, from 2-4 p.m. Proceeds go towards the rehabilitation of the Plant Pool and the redevelopment of Plouffe Park.
Nov. 16
The Centretown Citizens Community Association will hold their annual general meeting at the Jack Purcell Community Centre at 7:30 p.m. Residents can air views and ideas on the future of Centretown in a new region.

The Ottawa School of Art gallery, 35 George St., is presenting an exhibition by local artist Diane Woodward until Nov. 1. The exhibit features Woodward’s oil and acrylic paintings portraying Hindu gods and goddesses in a non-classical sense. Admission is free.
